Resignation of William J. Link
On March 14, 2022, William J. Link, Ph.D. informed Oyster Point Pharma, Inc. (the “Company”) of his decision to resign from the board of directors of the Company, effective as of March 17, 2022. Dr. Link was a Class I director, a member of the Compensation Committee and had served as a member of the Company’s board of directors since July 2015. Dr. Link’s resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the Company.
In connection with Dr. Link’s resignation, Dr. Link and the Company entered into a consulting agreement, dated March 14, 2022, pursuant to which Dr. Link will provide consulting services to the Company effective March 14, 2022.
On March 17, 2022, the Company issued a press release announcing the Dr. Link’s resignation and appointment as a consultant, a copy of which is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference. The information in such exhibit shall not be deemed filed for purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Act of 1934, as amended, or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section, nor shall such information be deemed incorporated by reference in any filing under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, except as expressly set forth by specific reference in such filing.

OYSTER POINT PHARMA ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT OF WILLIAM J. LINK FROM BOARD OF DIRECTORS
PRINCETON, N.J., Mar. 17, 2022 – Oyster Point Pharma, Inc. (Nasdaq: OYST), a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of first-in-class pharmaceutical therapies to treat ophthalmic diseases, today announced that William J. Link, Ph.D., is retiring from Oyster Point’s Board of Directors, effective as of March 17, 2022. Dr. Link will continue to serve as a consultant to the company.

He continued his service through the Company’s successful transition from private to public biopharmaceutical company, through the launch of TYRVAYA™ (varenicline solution) Nasal Spray and the evolution of a promising pipeline with potentially transformative investigational therapies in a range of ocular surface diseases.
